Where do I even start? I’ve only met her once but from the moment we started messaging, Cara just seemed special. We booked a mini session and she was so thoughtful to making our vision come to life with planning. Pictures are often difficult for us to feel natural and for my kids not to get frustrated. Cara was patient and kind, flowing through the session with an ease that make us all more comfortable. The final product? I was blown away. These are the best pictures we’ve ever had taken of us and they capture who we are as a family more than anything else. We had such an amazing experience with Under the Dogwoods Photography! From the moment we started, Cara made us feel completely comfortable and at ease. My husband and I are usually so awkward in front of the camera and never know how to pose, but she gave us the perfect amount of direction without making anything feel forced. Cara did an unbelievable job capturing my little family and I’m beyond grateful that I hired her to document this special moment in time for us. I especially appreciate the patience she showed with our 3.5 year old who was anything but compliant during the session. She somehow managed to snap photos where it appears he’s calm and composed when he was anything but. The photos she took of my newborn are beyond words. I don’t know how I’m going to select just a few to frame and display in my home because every single one is a favorite. If I’m blessed to live a long life, I just know I’ll look back at these photos with heartwarming nostalgia and relive the memories of little feet running through the kitchen, baby cries down the hall, and trucks underfoot.
